MCG to host State of Origin

Rugby League’s showpiece event, the Holden State of Origin Series is coming to Melbourne in 2015. Australia’s greatest rivalry will re-ignite at the Melbourne Cricket Ground – for the first time in 18 years.
In 2014, New South Wales finally ended Queensland’s record breaking eight series victories in a row, but the Maroons were quick to remind everyone that they are still a champion side.
Boasting Melbourne favourites Cameron Smith, Billy Slater and Cooper Cronk, along with superstars Greg Inglis, Sam Thaiday and Johnathan Thurston, the Queenslanders will be out for revenge, while the Blues are not short on superstar power with the likes of Robbie Farah and skipper Paul Gallen.
With everything to play for, it is sure to be another thrilling chapter in Rugby League folklore.
