At the Property Council Awards evening last week, I was pleased to present the inaugural Innovation Award to ISPT Pty Ltd for their office precinct development at 4 National Circuit Barton.
The ACT Government encourages innovation in building design – from the National Museum right through to the award winning Nishi Building in New Acton. These buildings will form part of our city’s future identity.
These developments also help create jobs in our city – pushing the boundaries of design and construction. By being at the forefront of innovation, the ACT can attract the very best architects, engineers and construction companies to continue investing in our city.
The winning development presents a different approach to public service accommodation in Canberra – with an emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainability.
ISPT is highly regarded as an industry leader in the property sector and for them to be such a major investor in Canberra is a clear indication they have great faith in the future of our economy. Included in their properties in Canberra are, 18 Marcus Clarke, 7 London Circuit, 1, 2 and 3 to 5 National Circuit, 2 Constitution Ave and the Gungahlin Village shopping centre.
The creative approach ISPT has taken to develop this unique and vibrant office precinct on National Circuit is to be commended and I look forward to seeing them continue to invest in our city.
