Today I joined the CBR Innovation Network, the Griffin Accelerator and ATP Innovations to launch a new business incubator program in the ACT.
The new program, KILN incubator, is a business program that aims to support budding Canberra entrepreneurs through a range of services including coaching, mentoring, business advisory and office space.
Designed in consultation with the local innovation community, the KILN Incubator will help to grow innovative and high-growth potential Canberra companies.
It also aligns with the government’s priority of accelerating local innovation to create wealth and jobs, as outlined in the business development strategy Confident & Business Ready: Building on Our Strengths.
We only have to look at successful Canberra companies such as FEI Australia, Quintessence Labs, Reposit Power, Instaclustr and Aspen Medical to see that innovation is key to success. The goal is to create more companies like these, which is why we decided to back innovation and to support the CBR Innovation Network.
If you are a local entrepreneur with a great business idea, you can apply to be accepted into the KILN Incubator Program by visiting www.kilnincubator.com/assessment.html
