The Dandenongs’ secret cinema

Watching a film indoors becomes so passé when the weather warms up and Melbourne opens its doors to a plethora of outdoor cinemas. The city’s much-loved Rooftop and Moonlight Cinema will be joined by Cameo Outdoor Cinema (18 November 2016 – March 2017), screening new release films in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges – less than an hour from the city of Melbourne.
This year’s program opens with J.K. Rowling’s highly anticipated latest adventure Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them and continues with events like “Bring Your Pet” nights at which animal escapades will be shown on-screen.
Although it has run for more than 10 years, Cameo Outdoor Cinema remains one of Melbourne’s best-kept secrets. Cinema-goers are welcome to bring their own picnic or enjoy some of the gourmet delights available on site.
